Registered Migration Agent - Sydney

Outstanding immigration professionals - London or Birmingham

Office Manager - London

Registered Migration Agent - Sydney

We are seeking a talented and experienced MARA agent (with the Graduate Certificate in Migration Law) to fill an exciting role in our Sydney office as we continue to grow our practice there. Key elements of the role will include advising a variety of high-end clients on Australian inbound migration, handling Australian migration cases for employers and individuals and participation in networking and other business development activities. If desired, there is also scope for the role to include assisting the director with UK and US immigration matters and co-ordinating immigration matters for other destinations ("global immigration").

Although our team in Sydney is currently small, we have experienced a significant upturn in volume of work and we still have further/ambitious growth plans. With colleagues in the UK as well as locally, you will be part of a larger group of great people that continues to grow. This is a fantastic role for someone with all-round skills who wants to develop a long-term career in this field as there is the potential to get involved with new areas of work and other aspects of the business overall.

If you wish to apply you will need to have significant experience of Australian migration law and practice. We operate at the top-end of the market and our clients expect top-end expertise and practical experience from a team well used to handling the full range of business-related migration matters. A true desire to deliver superb client service is essential and experience of using LEAP Migration Manager would also be very useful. Given the often complicated and time-critical requirements of clients, as well as the small size of the Sydney team, you will also need the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining the highest standards at all times. You will need to be hard-working, patient, cheerful and flexible with drive to see things through. In return, we offer a friendly and supportive working environment, good resources, good quality work and a competitive salary, as well as the opportunity to develop your own profile and career - something we encourage!

When applying for this role, please let us know how you feel you could make a real difference to our practice and why you think we should choose you! Applications should be sent to jobs@asgvisa.com or posted to Ann Symonds, ASG Immigration, Suite 604 (Level 6), 12 O'Connell Street, Sydney, NSW 2000. If you prefer to have a confidential chat beforehand, please feel free to contact Ann Symonds or Matthew Amoils. As we both travel a lot, it's worth setting up a time in advance via e-mail (ann.symonds@asgvisa.com / matthew.amoils@asgvisa.com).

Outstanding immigration professionals - London or Birmingham

We are seeking additional immigration professionals to join our team. Recognising that the most fabulous people can be hard to find, we're remaining flexible about level of experience and candidates might currently be anywhere from junior adviser up to Associate - or may even be looking at director/partner level roles. We have openings in both our London and Birmingham offices.

What we require from you is a thorough understanding of immigration law (which, as suitable candidates will be aware, means a lot more than just knowing how to assign a CoS and apply for an Entry Clearance!) as well as significant practical experience of advising clients and assisting them across the full range of applications typically made by businesses and high net worth individuals. The ability to communicate clearly (with excellent spoken and written English) is essential, as is the ability to think laterally and demonstrate superb drafting and presentation skills. We're looking for problem-solvers comfortable with the challenge of complex cases and demanding clients, who nonetheless understand the importance of knowing the detail of the law and the very serious consequences that can befall clients when attention is not paid to detail. A strong sense of client service as well as the drive to see things through is also vital and, as you might expect, it is also important to be able to work well alone and as part of a team.

We are prepared to pay a very competitive salary, although the actual figure will obviously depend on your experience and the level at which you join us. We offer good quality work in a supportive, team-oriented environment and actively encourage all team members to build up their own career and profile as well as to develop areas of particular interest. If making your mark and building a long-term future is as important to you as salary, then ASG might well be the right home for you.

Although not essential, other factors that would assist your application include knowledge of immigration into other countries, experience of managing "global" immigration matters and (in particular for those wishing to join at a more senior level) supervisory, management, training, client account management and business development experience.

Please apply with full details of your career to date and ensure you include a cover letter or e-mail setting out what you have to offer and how you could add to our practice. Applications should be e-mailed to jobs@asgvisa.com or posted to Ann Symonds at: ASG Immigration, 107-109 Great Portland Street, London W1W 6QG

If you prefer, you are very welcome to call Ann Symonds for an initial chat on 020 7299 3330.

We look forward to hearing from you.
